Moses (Michael Kup)

A perpetual seeker of truth and enlightenment, Moses founded I Love Yoga in 2003.  He studied
at San Diego Mesa College and San Diego State University.
In 1991, for several years, he continued his life studies traveling the globe.   He then returned to his hometown of Chicago where he started Live Hard, a philosophy-based clothing company that received national recognition for its innovative marketing and product placement strategies, including a book entitled Live Hard Because You Can.  He appeared on The Today Show, Extra, Deco Drive and numerous radio programs.
Seeking simplicity in his life, Moses moved to Miami in 2000 and  began practicing yoga.  Subsequently, he received his yoga teaching certification from the Miami's Synergy Center for Yoga and the Healing Arts and earned a degree in Thai Massage from International Training Massage, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  He was the founding instructor of Castle Yoga in Miami.  Today, in addition to his responsibilities  with I Love Yoga including overseeing manufacturing and product development, he teaches at various local studios and conducts workshops worldwide.
Moses answers the question, “How do you love yoga?” this way:  “It enables me to nurture the divine light within so that I am able to help others tend to the divine light within each of them.”

Duncan Wong

Growing up with backyard martial arts and the realness of street fighting in the rural delta region of Northern California, juxtaposed with the influence of my grandfather’s Gung-Fu practice and incense burning rituals, and formal dojang [Korean martial arts school] training; with my Buddhist master, in San Francisco’s Chinatown and Japan Town, I was never a stranger to the intuitive reflexes and highs associated with physicality.

These early memories and experiences led me to my own life-long pursuit of the dynamic practices of Astanga Vinyasa [eight limbs of flowing motion] yoga and Kuk Sool Won [traditional Korean Buddhist] martial arts. Forming such a foundation in my youth and teenage years, I practiced the way of the sword, and You Won Hwa [flowing circular harmony] while perfecting my asanas [postural stances] and ‘floating’ [advanced aerial arm balancing] techniques. I learned the art of the dual-edged path, cultivating both disciplines simultaneously throughout my twenties.

My travels expanded with my interests, which took me across the Asian landscapes of China and India. I sought out great beings of knowledge, honing my skills and awareness, which eventually exposed me to the art of Thai massage [active yoga massage] and other healing methods. Integrating this form of sacred touch was the necessary element that supported the development of the Yogic Arts™ system into its current form, which is the ongoing expression of my life’s work.

This practice will introduce all physical enthusiasts to the awareness and conditioning of their bandhas [core muscular areas of the pelvic floor, inner thighs and the abdominal trunk of the transverse abdominus]. Utilizing movement from this central location in the body ‘ups the game’ for people desiring to enhance and eventually master their ability to ‘not tear the rice-paper’, or wear out their bodies when practicing ‘jump-backs’ and ‘jump-throughs’ during time spent on the mat.

-Duncan Wong is the creator of the Yogic Arts™ system.

His practice spans over 20 years and his teachings extend across the globe.

Dwight Garcia

Dwight Garcia began his career in the wellness industry in 1995 as a fitness trainer at one of the original Equinox Fitness Clubs in New York City. His interest in tailoring fitness programs led him to earn a degree from the Swedish Institute in 1997 where his study included various Eastern and Western methods of bodywork including swedish, shiatsu, sports/medical massage, myofascial technique and neuromuscular therapy.

It was at this time that he immersed himself deeper into holisitic treatment thru intense focus on ashtanga and iyengar yoga methods. Dwight has completed 3 teacher training programs with his mentor master Duncan Wong, creator of the Yogic Arts system, for whom he continues to serve as his apprentice in workshops and teacher trainings.

Dwight divides his practice between New York City, East Hampton and Miami, and serves as the New York liason and spokesmodel for ILOVEYOGA.COM. He has recently been published in Hamptons Style Magazine and can also be seen modeling in Gray's Atlas of Anatomy.
